Join Carrie, Seattle’s We Hike to Heal Ambassador, for this FREE Women’s Group Hike/Walk!

We’ll be walking through the Olympic Sculpture Park and Myrtle Edwards Park along the Elliot Bay Trail , which has a mix of paved and dirt/gravel paths, as well as opportunities to walk on beach and/or boulders. The park is in downtown Seattle, right on Elliot Bay. This is a fairly easy hike with views of the mountains across the bay.

We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race! And if you don’t think of yourself as “outdoorsy” you’re in the right place!

We’ll meet outside the Paccar Pavilion where we will get to know each other a bit, then begin our walk with a “walking thought” to reflect on. At some point during our walk, we’ll pause to sit, meditate and/or journal, and connect with each other.

Time: 3:00-6:00pm (please budget some time for parking so we can gather at 3:00)

Location/Directions:  Olympic Sculpture Park – Paccar Pavilion 2901 Western Ave, Seattle, WA 98121

Parking:  There are paid lots and paid street parking nearby, as well as public transit options. (We encourage carpooling, if possible.)

Difficulty level/Distance: EASY/ about 3-4 miles

Restroom Facilities: There are public restrooms in the park.

What you will need for this hike:

• Some water to drink
• Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sun
• Comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers
• Comfortable clothing – workout clothes work just fine!
• A bag/backpack to carry all your items
• A towel to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the ground
• A journal (or paper) and a pen
