We are growing our Ambassador Team!

Our Ambassador Program is the heart of our organization. We exist to provide an alternative pathway to healing for women, in order to find more healthy, confident, thriving women everywhere!

We appreciate your interest in joining our team and we can’t wait to learn more about you!

Applications due by February 1st

We Hike to Heal, Inc is a 501c3 Non-profit that provides an alternative pathway to healing for women. Through guided outdoor activities, we offer our participants a unique and powerful way to experience respite, connection, and community.

Please read all the information very carefully and ensure that you are prepared to take on this responsibility!

Focus Cities: Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, D.C., Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City, Oakland, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle

January 20 - February 1

If you are selected for an interview you will be contacted via email to schedule some time to chat.

Announcements

February 13
We will contact you via email to formally invite you to join the We Hike to Heal Ambassador Program.

Training begins

February 17
Once you accept the Ambassador position you will receive more information on date/time options to participate in training.

Each Ambassador will be required to fulfill a minimum of three (3) of the following tasks within the year:

  1. Host a minimum of 6 in person events throughout the year (including at least 1 during May for #wehiketoheal)
  2. Raise a minimum of $250 for the nonprofit
  3. Manage and regularly engage with your regions Meetup Group and/or Private Facebook Group
  4. Attend the #WeHiketoHeal Campout + Retreat (May 26-29) and facilitate a workshop/session or be a part of the support team
  5. Volunteer 8-10 hours per quarter to support the nonprofit (can range from virtual admin support, to in-person inventory or gear organization, depending on location and skillset)
  6. Write 4 blog posts or create 4 (15-30 second) reels/TikToks (details on topics/themes/criteria to be shared)
  1. A quarterly stipend (pending board approval, exact amount tbd)
  2. Ambassador Kit (includes: a daypack, first aid kit, We Hike to Heal Flag, Clipboard, liability insurance/waiver, T-shirt, Nature Meditations deck, stickers, flyers and more)
  3. Complete ODJT/WH2H Training
  4. Comped registration and lodging for the 2023 #wehiketoheal Campout
  5. Annual AllTrails Pro membership
  6. 30% discount on merch
  7. 50% discount on journals/books
  8. Gear discounts
  9. Sponsor Swag when available
  10. Access to the larger ODJT and WH2H platform (i.e. share your events on our social media and/or newsletters)
  11. Opportunities to grow within the organization as the nonprofit expands

Can I still apply if I'm not in one of your focus cities?

Yes! If you are passionate and interested in joining our team, please apply!

What is the time commitment to be an Ambassador?

When will I know if I've been accepted into the program?

Can I choose to lead different types of group events, not just hikes?

Yes! We are open to different modes of outdoor activities. However, we ask that at least half of your events to be group hikes in order to align with the #wehiketoheal movement.
